Professionally

I've been a photographer for over 20 years. Over those years, I've photographed weddings, engagements, families, children, newborns, commercial photography, destination shoots, model portfolios, boudoir, sports teams, and artistic projects. In 2014 with the birth of my youngest son I cut back to photographing almost exclusively seniors. Now I specialize in Senior Portrait Photography and have had the privilege of shooting thousands of seniors over that time. In 2022 I went to a semi retired, part time schedule where I now only take a handful of clients a year - typically less than a dozen total. This was done in an effort to give all my professional time and attention to a few and give them an exceptional experience while maintaining a lifestyle that allowed for travel and increased family time.

Personally

If you know me, you know I'm a fun and extroverted person by nature and love to constantly be engaging with the people around me. I've been married almost 30 years, I have two sons: a 22 year old at MSU and a 9 year old I homeschool. We live in Southwest Michigan where we enjoy all the usual things like books, movies, music, food, travel, game nights, and spending time with friends and family. I began photography with a film camera in high school and although I have a bachelors degree from WMU, I chose to start a photography business in 2003. It was one of the best decisions of my life. Through that I have met some of the most wonderful people who I still today call friends.
